POSI+IVI+Y Mentoring: Mentoring Application 2012-2013
Greetings!
POSI+IVI+Y (positivity) Mentoring is a direct outreach student organization at The George Washington University. We pair one female GW undergraduate with one middle-school girl. We operate through an afterschool program that meets weekly at Francis-Stevens Education Campus (2425 N Street NW, DC).
Our Mission
POSI+IVI+Y (positivity) is committed to the self-development and self-realization of each girl. That each girl finds beauty in herself and everything around her so much that she blooms past her circumstances into success. Through mentoring, workshops, and activities, each girl learns how to achieve her dreams and live a fulfilled life.
Please note that the program meets every Friday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. All mentors must complete one workshop, fingerprinting, and a TB waiver form before working with the young ladies. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis after 12/29/12. IF there are no spots available, those that qualify are placed on a waiting list in case an opportunity opens up!
