Social Anxiety: Prevalence and Association with Autobiographical Memory bias and Emotion Regulation in Young adults

Dear Participant,

I am Darshana K Gandhi, a post-graduate student pursuing Msc. Clinical Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. As a part of the Masters Programme, I am conducting a research study under the guidance of Dr. Madhavi Rangaswamy, to understand how autobiographical memory and our level of emotional regulation can help us to understand processes associated with social anxiety. With this knowledge we will be able to help  people with social anxiety.

In this study, the subject is asked to fill out the participants particulars information, followed by completing the three questionnaires along with a task, which will take a total of nearly 20 - 25 minutes. If you are an Indian, between 18-25 years, then you are eligible to participate in the study. 

Voluntary Participation
Your participation in the study is completely voluntary. However, if you feel uncomfortable with any of the questions you can withdraw your participation from the study at any point without any penalty or justification whatsoever.  If you withdraw from the survey before completing it, your responses will automatically be disqualified. 

Confidentiality
Your responses will remain strictly confidential and will be used only for research purpose. Your responses will be accessible only to the researcher and the supervisor. All the information will be coded and stored in password-protected files. No personal and identifying information will be disclosed.
