Kentucky River Clean Sweep 2026
 

The Kentucky River Clean Sweep is a volunteer effort to clean up the 12-mile piece of the Kentucky River that touches Fayette County. We are cleaning up this tributary of the Ohio River with many other volunteers in Kentucky and neighboring states.

Breakfast, lunch and t-shirts will be provided for volunteers. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and clothing that can get wet. If you have a life jacket, please bring it with you. River Sweep starts at 8:30am. Volunteers should arrive before 10am to ensure time to go out on a boat. Please bring your own canoe or kayak if you have one.

River Sweep takes place at Kelley's Landing Park (8949 Old Richmond Road). There will be signs to direct you to the parking area, please carpool if you are able to.
