[T2] In this survey we'll be talking about Generative AI. Generative AI, also known as Gen AI, is a type of artificial intelligence that can create new content, such as text, images, music, and code. It does this by learning from existing data and then using that knowledge to generate new examples that are similar in style or form. Here is a simple definition of Gen AI: Gen AI is AI that can create new things. This can include new text, images, music, code, and more. Gen AI is often used in creative applications, such as generating art, music, and writing. It can also be used for more practical purposes, such as generating data for training other AI systems. Here are some examples of how Gen AI is being used today: Creating new images: AI models like DALL-E 3 and MidJourney v6 can generate photorealistic images, custom illustrations, and artwork from text descriptions and simple prompts. Generating immersive videos: Advances in models like Runway Gen-2 and Google DeepMind's video AI tools can now create entire video clips from scratch, based on prompts.  Enhancing conversational AI: Tools like OpenAI’s GPT-5 and Anthropic's Claude 3 can carry out nuanced, human-like conversations, assist with strategic decision-making, and provide tailored advice across industries. Gen AI is a powerful technology with the potential to revolutionize many industries. It is still under development, but it is already being used in a variety of applications. As AI technology continues to improve, we can expect to see even more creative and innovative uses for Gen AI in the future.
